How to Extract Text from a PDF
Step-by-step guide to copying all readable text out of a PDF document using the DevHexLab PDF to Text tool.

Open the PDF to Text tool
Navigate to /tools/document/pdf-to-text.

Upload your PDF
Upload the PDF file. The tool reads the text layer from the PDF without sending the file to any server.

Review the extracted text
The extracted text appears in the output panel. Note that scanned PDFs (images of pages with no text layer) will produce no output unless OCR is run first.

Copy or download
Click Copy to grab the text, or Download to save it as a .txt file.
