How to Optimize SVG Files
Step-by-step guide to removing unnecessary code from SVG files to reduce their size using the DevHexLab SVG Optimizer.

Open the SVG Optimizer
Navigate to /tools/image/svg-optimizer.

Upload or paste your SVG
Either upload an .svg file or paste the raw SVG markup into the input area. Vector graphics exported from Illustrator or Figma often contain a large amount of unnecessary metadata.

Optimize
Click Optimize. The tool strips editor metadata, comments, hidden elements, default attribute values, and redundant whitespace while preserving the visual appearance.

Download the optimized SVG
The tool shows the before and after file sizes. Download the optimized version which is typically 30 to 70 percent smaller than the original.
